One record, stock-in to funded
- Stock in a vehicle with its own stock number, and keep the one the car already carries when it arrives from an import.
- Record reconditioning as stages with real dates, so time-to-front-line is measured rather than estimated.
- Work the deal on the desk, then finalize and fund it without re-keying anything.
- Post to the general ledger from the deal that was actually written.
Titles and paperwork
Every deal carries its title and registration record: the lien coming off the trade, the lien going onto the sold unit, how the customer is plated, whether the title has arrived and what is stuck. A Titles queue shows the open work worst-first, with who each deal is waiting on.
Lenders and funding
- Submit an application, record the decision, and keep the stipulation exchange on the deal.
- Record funding against what the lender actually owed, so a short check is visible rather than assumed.
- Take a down payment or a cash balance as recorded payments, with reversals rather than edits.
- A deal that funded on money that later came back shows as a receivable instead of reading as paid.
Signed paperwork stays with the deal
Completed documents are readable from the customer's record by permitted staff, rather than living in an email thread or a folder on somebody's desktop.
